How A Disaster Turned Into A Blessing

In 1986, our first showroom had a chimney that caused a fire and almost took the life of Fran – “Ma Fireplace!” This disaster turned into a blessing because Fran and Bob Marengo made SAFETY their priority over just selling a beautiful fire feature. Ma and Pa Fireplace added chimney services to their business as well as employed technicians who are trained by the National Fireplace Institute to ensure their installation services start with SAFETY FIRST!

There is NO other fireplace shop in the surrounding area of Cookeville, TN that has an 8400 square foot showroom heated solely by wood! He cleaned our entire fireplace, logs, fixed the remote which we found was a very simple fix, replaced all the batteries, and spent a good hour going over everything with us, so we knew how it
