We found the best most professional and reliable fireplace service company.
They are friendly, courteous, very knowledgeable, professional and they stay in touch.
We had an outdated, not working, and very dangerous gas fireplace, and we didn’t know it, until we called Custom Fireplaces & More in Cookeville.
We had a potential fire hazard and a Custom Fireplaces & More husband-and-wife team, Larry and Janet, found two very serious issues and fixed them.
Our issue. We have owned our home for seven years and our gas fireplace would only work sporadically and then not at all. We tried a couple of fireplace repair companies, and nothing improved.
We learned our fireplace was converted to gas from wood many unknown years ago.
Larry and Janet analyzed our entire fireplace and chimney and found serious problems. Two of the more serious were: (1) They found two bedsheets stuffed around the sides and above the fireplace cabinet where fireproof insulation should have been. (2) There are two 3-1/4-inch flex pipes that should run from the fireplace to the chimney cap on the roof. Our two flex pipes only ran half the way up the chimney allowing cold air in the winter and hot air in the summer to enter our living room through the fireplace. Obviously, whoever worked on this fireplace in past years before we purchased this home didn’t know what they were doing or didn’t care.
Today we have a fireplace that is safe and works like new. We cannot recommend Custom Fireplaces & More in Cookeville, (931-526-8181), and especially Larry and Janet, to do the job right and professionally.

Larry and his wife were able to quickly analyze my problem, fix it and added an upgrade with a remote😳. They were pleasant and professional in all aspects. I love my Radiance fireplace and couldn’t have been more pleased.

I called Custom Fireplaces and More where we purchased a gas fireplace last year. I called to ask about lighting my fireplace in the case of a power outage. Larry answered my call and after I told him what I wanted to know he ask if I would like to FaceTime. We did and Larry walked me through the process of how to do what I needed. We have a remote control gas fireplace in our bedroom. It started randomly beeping one night when it hadn't been used since last winter. We called the store to schedule service after we powered it off. Long story short, we had a service call scheduled with Larry so we sent him a picture of the equipment bay below the firebox so he would know exactly what fireplace we had. He arrived on time with all the parts that could possibly cause our problem. He knew the system well and spent less than an hour isolating the problem. He fixed it and it has worked perfectly since. Larry is the kind of expert technician you need when you have these kinds of problems with a complex system and he is a really nice person on top of that. Thanks Larry!
